Method

How it works

  1. Type any two cities and confirm the right place in the search results.
  2. For each coordinate, we request the NASA POWER 1991–2020 climatology without mixing it with a forecast.
  3. We compare 12 months of highs, lows, rain, humidity and solar radiation and create a reproducible CSV.

When to use it

Use cases

  • Where will you spend the rest of your life? Compare heat, cold and the rainy season before imagining a move.
  • Where will you go on holiday? Find the month with comfortable temperatures and lower climatic rainfall.
  • Trying to escape summer heat or winter? Compare distant destinations and see when the season really changes.

Privacy

No account is required and Chapa Lab does not build a personal comparison history.

Search terms are sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim; the resulting coordinates are then sent to NASA POWER for climate data. Public responses may be cached temporarily to avoid repeated requests, without linking them to a personal profile.
